Chrome windows preview only, not open from taskbar

When I have multiple windows open in Chrome, but all minimized, if I hover over the Chrome icon on the taskbar, it shows all of the possible windows to open. But if I select any one, it does not open. So I have to instead use Win-Tab, and it also shows all possible windows to open and if I select a Chrome window from there, it opens perfectly.

Another member posted pretty much the same issue 3 days ago. Perhaps a recent 24H2 update temporarily broke something.

I see nothing mentioned in known and resolved issues, so maybe it’s a new issue (Revisiting).
As you haven’t (like so many others) bothered to tell us what version of Windows you’re using, I am going to guess 24H2

Thank you. Sounds like nothing to do for now. This has been going on for at leas weeks for me.
(Sorry, yes, 24H2)

This also happens to me. I find if I Refresh the Desktop by right clicking on it, the minimized windows will open up directly from the taskbar. Until the next time LOL.

Boy, windows is so weird. Mine was just the opposite. Had the problem off and on throughout 23h2, but when 24h2 came along, I clean installed and haven't had the problem since.
