It does work on 23H2 but it's hit and miss...,
Press and hold right Alt>press and hold left Alt>release right Alt>press Tab.

i have a thumb drive with windows 11 on it so i can get back to an older version but its not letting me keep all my apps/data - is there some special way to do that? I want to get back to how it was before bc i think i may have the next update on my system that i dont want lol

I don’t think that you can go backwards with versions using an in-place upgrade.
Reinstall or see if you can uninstall updates.

its causing freezing in some games for me since this changed.
Some games don't honor Alt+Tab
But that's an issue in the game, not in Windows.

I use Alt+Tab a lot when playing games running at full screen.
If you are running more than one monitor, you probably won't ever have to use Alt+Tab

If a game is on full screen and you have multiple monitors, you still have to alt tab to get out of the game screen.
Because your mouse wont penetrate the game screen.
