Windows 11
Hey there,

Trying to perform a clean install of 25H2, but keep coming up short. It ends up failing at the end of the installation. Will try and post all relevant info down below.

The installation process gets to around 82%, then it switches to "Your PC will restart in a few moments", which only last for a second or so before it throws a dialogue window with "Windows 11 installation failed". Only a "ok"-button to confirm the failure.

The different BIOS settings and what I've tried
I have tried a myriad of different BIOS settings when it comes to TPM/CSM/Secure Boot and different legacy settings.

Advanced > PCH-FW Configuration > TPM Device Selection = Enable Firmware TPM
My understanding is that this one is somewhat mandatory.

Advanced > System Agent (SA) Configuration > VMD Setup menu > Enable VMD controller = Disabled
I tried this on disabled since I'm not using raid. Also tried with it enabled, but then my NVMe drivers are not visible during the installation. I tried downloading/loading the Intel drivers that supposedly fixes this, but the drives are still not there for me.

Boot > CSM > Launch CSM = Disabled
Also tried with it enabled.

Secure boot settings
Boot > Secure Boot > OS Type = Other OS
Also tried with it set to "Windows UEFI mode".

Boot > Secure Boot > Secure Boot Mode = Standard
Also tried with it set to "Custom".

If I run windows uefi mode and set mode to standard setting, it will throw up a "Secure Boot Violation". So I'm using the "Other OS" to avoid this.

My troubleshooting so far
I've tried two USB sticks, different USB ports.
The USB stick is made using RUFUS (but also tried the MS creation tool), I use the 25H2 International English iso (x64).

During the installation when I get to "Select location to install Windows 11" where I make sure to delete all the partitions on the drive (disk 1 in my case), so I'm left with only "Unallocated Space", from there I start the installation.

I still have the option to just remove the other NVMe drive (running linux), but I want to be quite sure that is the only option, removing that drive is a solid hour of fun in my case, so I would rather avoid it (pc mounted under the desk in a more semi-permanent way). It does feel like the only option left for me. Is it simply that Windows refuses to perform the installation while seeing another OS on another drive? (And perhaps coupled with the OtherOS setting in BIOS)

Is there any other obvious thing I should try? I really would like to avoid dismantling my PC if at all possible.

I attached the setuperr.log from the failed installation on the drive here in the post, not sure if there are other, more relevant logs to find?

See if the computer is able to clean install Windows 10.

If successful then upgrade to Windows 11.

If unsuccessful then detach the Linux drive.

See if the computer is able to clean install Windows 10.
I booted in to the Win10 installation and selected my drive that only has one single partition (unallocated space). Then when launching the installation I got this:
Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase of installation. To install Windows, restart the installation.
I guess this leaves me with the tedious option of removing other drive

I will wait and see for a bit, if someone else has some alternative idea.
