This tutorial will show you how to completely clear and reset all AppLocker policy rules and settings back to default in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
AppLocker is included in Local Security Policy (secpol.msc) to configure Application Control Policies in the Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions of Windows 10 and Windows 11. Local Security Policy is not available in the Home edition.
You can use AppLocker to create rules to allow or block executable (.exe, .com) files, Windows installer (.msi, .msp, .mst) files, script ( .ps1, .bat, .cmd, .vbs, .js) files, and/or packaged apps (Microsoft Store apps) from running for everyone, specific user(s), and/or specific group(s).
Clearing AppLocker policy on a computer returns all AppLocker settings to not configured (default) and deletes all existing rules at once.
