Anyone have recommendation for one that cost $50 to $125 at the absolute most? There seems to be like several types of computer and office chairs. You have the cheap office chair that is small and has no armrest. That is the worst right? Then you have like the middle of the road office chair which is like a mesh chair where there is armrest and you have back support? However, the mesh chair isn't going to cover like your head area but these are what most people use right? Then you have like the executive office chair that is made of leather or possibly fake leather? This is the one where if you lay your head back, your head would touch the back of the chair.

Then you have gaming chairs and those seem to look expensive but a bit over the top? Then I heard there was ridiculous expensive chairs that might cost thousands of dollars. So there are like 5 types of computer chairs only right? But never get the cheap one with no armrest. So is the leather executive chair always better than the regular office mesh chair? The regular office mesh chair seem to cost around 50 to 100 dollars or so. The leather executive chair seem to cost 100-250 dollar? Then you have gaming chairs that cost at least that or even more?

If you use a computer and sit down for a long time and also use a lot of monitors so you turn your neck around a lot, what compu

I don't know if where you live has them, but check around for used office furniture stores. In the one we have here all their stuff is commercial grade. There are great bargains if you hit them at the right time.

I was going to reply, then saw your price range. How often do you change chairs? I used to spend what you did, but needed a new one every year because they broke basically. I bought an expensive Herman Miller chair ($1,000 new) for less than 1/2 price and a 10 year warranty. I'm still sitting on it 7 years later. If you spend more and it lasts much longer, your cost will be the same or less. Anyway, have a look and see what they have and do some research on the chairs

The last few years, I basically used a regular sitting chair that has a very soft sitting cushion but the back of it is very hard. I would then put a pillow on it and I find that okay and just did that for a while. Previously, I used computer chairs that broke after a short time.

This is what is shown available here online.

Gaming Chair about $90

Mesh Chair about $80

Mesh Chair about $70

Leather Chair about $130

Executive Office Chair about $185

Now are chairs that look like leather good and better than a mesh chair? Seems you get support on your head if you lay back on it as oppose to the regular mesh chair?

Same Mesh Chair as in links 2 and 3 and seems to be about $45 only. Brand is Top Living. Would this be decent? These are the same ones on amazon I believe but it cost more on amazon.

A Better Mesh Chair Maybe? $65

I would suggest adjustable arms are important, particularly the height of the armrest. Consider if you want a headrest. Then you can get the arms at the correct height and angle , and lean back if wanted and keep shoulders back to avoid developing that hunched look.

Dunno what mexican dollars are worth.
something like this perhaps, note all the adjustability . Check carefully if you are tall or immensely heavy

UK quoted prices include 20% tax so might be less where you are

check adjustable seat height, seat angle, headrest height and headrest back and forth, armrest adjustabilty and so on. For example

1700 pesos = $100

So one should only stick with a mesh chair then right and avoid all the other ones? By that I mean, avoid computer chair with no armrest, avoid gaming chairs and avoid leather chairs or those that use fake leather and looks like one of those leather chairs?

Okay so if you are going to use multiple monitors and move your neck left and right a lot... by that I mean a lot, then which chair would be best then? When I used a regular chair and used a pillow to put on the back of the chair for support, I found that okay but when moving left and right with my neck, it was very tiring.

Is a neck rest necessary then?

This would be the ideal computer chair then right?

So I went to a store to try many of these chairs. The first thing I noticed was like at least 80% of these chairs at least seem to have a slight lean back to it and it isn't straight on the back. Is that normal? So when I sit on these chairs, only a few of them where I sat on it where I go... okay the back of the chair is straight and thus my posture would be straight. Isn't that what most computer or office chairs should be like? I must have tried over 30 chairs and 5 chairs at the most was like this.

Almost all gaming chairs seem to have a lean back to it. Most office chairs are like this even which shocked me. Now some of these office chairs, you could lean back as well on it but it felt like you are lying on a reclining chair almost. Is this normal? There were a few chairs only where one was a gaming chair and the other was an office mesh chair with a headrest where the moment I sat on it, I am in straightforward position in terms of my posture. Is that the chair one should get then?

The thing is I am using several monitors so I will be going from left to center to right etc. Imagine the laptop screen on the left and big 43' 4k monitor in the middle and a smaller 24' to the right of it. If you are going to move your neck a lot, do you want a chair where you could move left and right without moving your neck?

I tried this one out at the store. My first thought was the moment I sat on it, posture was straight. But if I want to lean back, you can't really do it at all. I also have no need of the headrest. But this seemed very comfortable. The problem here is with like 45 chairs at this store, there were very few that when you sit down, you are sitting straight up. Almost every other computer or office chair there, it's like your back is leaning back a bit which didn't feel comfortable to me at all. Is that right or wrong?

I tried some chairs like these below and I do not like how the moment I sit down on it, I'm not sitting fully straight up. These seem to have more of a lean back to it? The thing is like 80% of chairs at least seem to be like this?

If you compared the 1st link with the 2nd link, notice how the back of the 1st one is more straight up so your posture would be straight up? But the 2nd link wouldn't be because it's more lean back? Now I'm not even sure how your computer chair should be because I'm not sure why so many chairs have a more lean back to it? Is that how you suppose to sit on a chair?

Okay this might be a stupid question but is it possible that the chair that I liked and it doesn't lean back... it can always lean back if I wanted it to? I am talking about the 1st link in my few previous post.

Is it correct that when you on the chair and put your back to the chair, you are sitting straightforward immediately?

Is it possible all the other chairs that lean back and lean forward or those chairs do not have that option?

I checked some old reddit threads. If you check out the bottom right picture of the 1st link, isn't that the most comfortable position? When you take a look at the office chair, notice how it is upright and not leaning back like in the top right? So why are 80% at least of office chairs like the top right? I have no idea how anyone finds the top right position comfortable at all unless maybe if you watching a movie?

In the 2nd link, someone drew a sketch of them sitting upright with a lean back chair which they do not like and the one below it shows that person sitting upright with a chair that doesn't lean back. Notice how the 1st position is like the chair is lean back and the 2nd position is chair is more upright.

Shouldn't you be sitting upright like in the 2nd sketch for the 2nd link if you using computer for long hours. Not only that, if you are using a keyboard and wireless mouse and using multiple monitors?

When I used a regular chair and used a pillow to put on the back of the chair for support, I found that okay but when moving left and right with my neck, it was very tiring.
I used to use a Dining Room chair for my home computer. The back of the chair is ergonomically designed to be vertical to provide support for when a user is sat looking down at their dinner plate on the table. It is not really ergonomically designed for computer work. So, although that chair was "usable" as a office chair, I wouldn't recommend it.

My new "proper" Office Chair is slightly more reclined, and that is more relaxing when reading text or viewing images on a vertical screen/monitor. When I go to use keyboard and mouse, I lean forward away from the back rest and I also pivot my feet. That is also quite comfortable. Instead of using the back of the chair as support, I am using my wrists on the edge of the desk. Also, because I pivoted my feet, I am better able to maintain balance after I had moved forward.

That is all I require. Some people want the back to tilt further backwards. It seems they want to use their office chair to take a nap in between their computer work.

Some people want height adjustable armrests and I don't know why. Maybe they are much taller or shorter than average height.

Some people want neck and lumbar support because they have specific back problems. If that is the case, I would check to see if the extra support is removable and/or height adjustable.

My new Office Chair is just faux leather with plenty of depth on the cushioning. It is more comfortable for several hours sat in the same spot.

So is the office chair I linked where I tried at the store... is that recommended or not? It feels right in that it doesn't lean back at all. But I'm not sure if it could recline if I wanted it to? Is it possible all the chairs at the store at least the moderate to expensive ones all could be straight up and not lean back at all with the lever adjustment but I didn't how to use to do? All I did with chairs was just the height adjustment.

This one below seems to be the number 1 office chair in like the ebay here below. This is a gaming chair and has a ton of reviews. It seems to be leather or fake leather. But this isn't recommended right? There is way too many good reviews for it to be not ignored. Or stay away from all gaming chairs?

T
he chair you provide in the link has many more features than I need, so I wouldn't recommend it for someone like me. If your needs includes using the chair to take a nap, and providing back/lumbar support, then possibly would recommend it.

"Fake" leather (we call it faux leather) is okay. Real leather stretches to the shape of your body as it bends and is hard wearing. However it needs maintenance to stop the leather turning brittle and cracking. Faux leather is easier to care for, but after many years it can crumble round the edges and start tearing. That is all. The alternative is fabric chairs which has none of the above problems, but is harder to clean. The other alternative is solid seat/back but this is usually less comfortable, unless the materials are springy - and that is usually expensive.

From that shop, this is similar to my chair:
Silla Ejecutiva De Piel - Café Oscura - Uline - $ 9,134.12

Except mine is "no thrills" in terms of materials.

I don't want to take no naps on the chair. I am using it when using the computer.

Is this one below that is around $200 good? I tried it at the store and it felt comfortable because it isn't leaned back and sitting at upright position. However, I'm not sure it has option to lean back or recline? I only notice the height adjustment option but does this have a recline a bit option? I don't care about that but I read you want a chair to have that option?
