Solved Constant Default Beeping on Window11

Hi respected team,

I am continuously getting default beep sound. and I don't want disable it as there could some serious issue on my system which I would like to fix

I did run
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
but no issues found.

Request your help in fixing this issue.

Do you mean the standard default beep Windows sound?
It is most likely some application causing it.

You mentioned that you can disable it, so if you know how to disable it, then you must know what is causing it.
Or did I interpret your post wrongly?

Thank you so much for your reply, I don't want to disable the windows sound. But would like to know what is causing this issue, so that I would fix the issue than just disabling the sound.

Please help.

Thanks for your reply, it is continuous beep with a minute interval. Yes, I am getting this issue with latest update.

What you can do is right click on the volume icon then Open Volume Mixer and then mute everything under apps and then unmute one at a time until you get the sound. For me, it was telegram causing it.

I traced the problem on continuous beep, it was from an application I was operating. Once I had closed the application, issue did not occur.

My system is doing the same and I cannot work out what app is causing it to constantly beep. I have removed a host of apps from the computer but it persists to beep every second.

Task manager is not very helpful here - how can I find out what is running on my PC so I can stop this.

I had the same problem. Disabling the default beep did nothing. What turned out to be the cause was an extremely old USB-1 4-PORT ADAPTER.
