Hi

I am completely new to Windows 11, and have taken the plunge having just bought a new Windows 11 laptop. I have set it up with a local account, and using settings / apps have deleted a few apps I didnt think I wanted. I haven't yet added any.

Then I discovered Control Panel which I am familiar with on my Win10 PC, but what I cant understand is the fact it only shows two apps: Microsoft Edge and associated WebView2 Runtime. In Settings/Apps I can see 30 odd apps. Why the difference? I ran sfc /scannow which was clear.

Control Panel items are slowly being migrated to other places, most of what I use are now on the right-click of the Windows key/Start button. But I still see most of what Win10 also had. Also, God Mode also works in Win11.

Control Panel should still work. It does on all of my computers and they are on the Insider Dev build. I wish I could answer your problem.

You say Control Panel when in reality I think you mean the Programs and Features section of Control Panel. Most of the apps that are pre-installed in Windows 11 are installed via the Microsoft Store and therefore do not show up in Programs and Features.

You need to go to Settings -> Apps to see these.

So why are the two Edge programs showing? Wouldn't they come from the "Microsoft Store" ???
Yes I did mean Programs and Features section.
Confused still
