Solved Corrupted Winget In Windows 11 Pro


Ok did that, and appears to be working much better now, and seems there isn't anything that needs updating at this time

Anything else i should do after it seems to be working right now?

System Restart?

Sfc /scannow scan

or should i run Dism scans?

and hopefully this issue never happens again

Actually, all of that sounds good to me. DISM, SFC, reboot... make sure it still works.

Ok will get those done, and system restart done, and then make sure still works before resuming normal usage

Dism scans all ran

sfc /scannow ran, no intergrity violations found

restart done

and Winget still works after restart

and here i was almost gonna do a complete clean install as soon as i could

Now hopefully stays working

Excellent. You're not alone, by the way. I've seen the random "winget" file with no extension in System32 before, and the thing with the winget source getting messed up is a known issue at times, including recently.

and also tested on Admin account and winget is working properly there now as well

So think all set now, and also cleaned up download folder a moment ago lol.
