Hey users!

I´m new into gaming laptops and I didn´t know anything about installing win 11 64 pro on a laptop. (What a mess it was!!!)
Using my new MSI Katana 17 B13VGK.

Believe in me, I´ve needed an entire day to search what I´ve needed.

So, I need my HDD Drivers for my samsung 980 pro for the intel mainboard thingie, called "RST_PV_19.5.1.1040.3_SV2_SV1_Win10"
Don´t ask me why, I have no clue why MS Win don´t include that. I also have no clue if they are the "right" drivers. They work, but yeah, maybe you have more intelligence about that?
With that I can recognize my HDD and format/fresh install windows.
Otherwise there´s no HDD detected.

Then I need WLAN drivers. Gosh, that makes me so crazy coz I didn´t know how and where to download.
After hours I found a solution under aka.ms/ idk what website anymore ... cannot remember.
It´s all about "pnputil /add-driver D:\*.inf" for WLAN/Wifi.
I guess the "true" drivers are in PHWFW06975_22.180.0.4G_22.180.0.4_0x9084a98e and I needed some UWD drivers. Of course there were a few drivers in the UWD folder, so I installed all of them.
Yes, that´s indeed totally stupid but needed!

Long story short:

After this Odyssey I could install windows completely fine. (with so many tears and weeping and and and)

BUT NOW!
I always want to prepared so I need my USB Stick with me with a fully win Installation possibility.

Now my question is:
How to embed the two needed Drivers in my usb stick windows installation, so I can automatically install Windows w/o adding drivers manually?
(especially without weeping ´n crying)

I know from my teen years (it´s about 30 y. ago), there was and still is a solution to that. But I´m getting older and older and cannot remember anymore. Also my full time work really gets me and I´m often too tired, so I depend on your help, because I absolutely have no clue where to start and so on.

Thank you very much in advance!

Sincerely, forgotmynick

The problem with the drive not being recognized is typically due to default settings in the bios/uefi. Many new systems comes ready to use IRST(Intel Rapid Storage Technology) however that is mostly used within the RAID setting. Which most home type users do not need.
You can look under the Bios settings and look for 2 things. Look for the SATA setting and ensure it is set to AHCI and/or look for VMD settings and Disable that one.
As for embedding the drivers I'm a little weak on that one. Others may chime in. Also I got to the manufacturers website and download all the drivers I might need for a reinstall and keep them in a separate location. You can simply put them on a thumb drive and move them to the new system after a clean install. You can do a clean install initially with any internet access anyway.

I'm a computer enthusiast so have quite a few systems that I run. More like an advanced hobby.
I use this IMAGEPREP - Mount the Windows OS disk - and export the Drivers from the Host OS - and then those Drivers can be integrated into the Install.wim and/or WinRE.wim and you will have WIM files with the Required Drivers.. WinRE with integrated Driver are really helpful for "Touch" laptops when in Recovery Mode

If it was my laptop, I'd go into the BIOS settings, and set the disk controller to AHCI rather than RAID.

I presume that'd get you through the basic Windows install without needing drivers.

A caveat: if the laptop has an Optane cache, RST drivers would still be needed.
