With the latest CU for 24H2/25H2 (.6899) coming in at over 3GB, I've wondered why MS don't just release a new major build and start at .1 again?
Updates are much smaller at the start of the release cycle!
Maybe have 26221.1 or something but including the .6899 CU? Have that as the new baseline for future CUs
Of course MS are not known for using common sense
