I'm not sure I have this right: are you saying that if you change the target for one of the shortcuts, and then restart Explorer, the old WinX Menu Editor starts working again?

what i did:
1 edit one of the shortcuts by manually right click > properties > edit the shell link
2 Restart explorer
3 launch winx editor > reset defaults > restart explorer
4 close winx editor
5 launch winx editor > do whatever customization you want > restart explorer

although, i cannot say for sure if the first 2 steps are necessary as i never tried starting from 3 because i did not think it worked to begin with. MAYBE just using winx editor to reset defaults and then reloading it makes it work somehow

with the winx editor you can create a new group as well as add custom shortcuts. that appears to be what he did.. not certain, but one way to go about it

I thought you could fill the WinX menu as much as you wanted and it would become scrollable..., not to be!
You gotta hit those tiny arrow buttons..., bummer!

you can use Nilesoft Shell to customize the size/font of the context text. you could make it a smaller font if you wanted more to fit on there...

Nope..., it's a small, semi-condensed font at 12pt already, can barely read it as it is!
Mind you, this on a 1920X1080 Laptop screen at 125%, so...

Now, if I invoke it on the 4K monitor, I could make it as tall as the friggin Burj Khalifa!!! :dizzy:

Funny...
the settings don't carry over to the native W11 UI, (StartAllBack disabled), except all my custom group separators are all scrunched together at the top! πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Hmm. I wonder if it’s a new coding in and windows taskbar that caused and issues to begin with. I never tried it with startallback disabled..

The workings of the Windows 11 Win+X Menu must have changed. Maybe it's for the better.
