Default save location for newly installed programs still OneDrive

@MisterEd You must have uninstalled OneDrive before you installed VueScan. I didn't. My config folder is stuck at c:\Users\buddy\OneDrive\Pictures\Vuescan.

As you noted, you can indeed change the save location for the scans.
I don't remember but I think in the Windows 11 initial setup it asked if you wanted OneDrive. I think I said no. In any event OneDrive was long gone before I installed any programs.

I swear, half the forums on the internet would cease to exist if it wasn't for OneDrive users needing help.

On so many occasions, many computer problems can frequently be traced backed to the inexperience (and/or stupidity in some cases) of user here and there. But this certainly is not and cannot be the case with OneDrive. Far too many users get caught and need help, and quite often even the response from experienced computer users starts with ... "I had this problem but I managed to ...... ".

It's the bloody software, it's Microsoft's insistance on trying to be "user friendly" and enforce inappropriate default settings on the unsuspecting.

Microsoft, it's frecking gotta stop !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol, did that shortly after installing Windows 11 and don't even have OneDrive in C:\Users\xxx\ The thing is you'll have relocate all folders to Default Location (old style) - instead of OneDrive, like so:

There should be a guide even on elevenforum - probably this one:
