Delete Start Up Pic Windows 11

I googled this and got a dozen results with all different methods from simple ones like below to making changes in registry or account settings. I can't even find the pic windows is using. It's not in my camera role. Anyone have a method to delete/bypass startup up pic that will work for me? Thanks.

Delete an account picture
  1. Open File Explorer from the taskbar. If you don't see File Explorer on the taskbar, select Start and type File Explorer. ...
  2. If you're unable to find the AppData folder in File Explorer , it might be hidden. ...
  3. Delete the account picture you no longer want to use.

With attached batch script you can delete recent account picture history in Windows 10 i don't know if the script works on Windows 11.

Do you mean user pic? if so you get an outline of a head and shoulders, best to change it for a blank pic if nothing else works

I'm not sure if they want to delete the background pic or the user pic. If it's the user pic it can be changed in Settings>Accounts>Your info>Choose a file.

Windows 11 have the same folder batch script should work on Windows 11.

@Winuser I was unsure of that, what you said is obviously correct, it seemed strange as If it was the user pic then anything looks better than the outline shape, If its the background it can be changed for a blank pic if that's what required

Sadly that batch file didn't work. I also tried running it as admin, signing out and in again, turning off computer and restart. That pic still shows up when I boot up.

I agree with the outline shape. They could use a picture of a colored background or just about anything if they don't want to use a picture of a person or object.

I have no need to use the batch file at this time. I haven't changed my user pic in years.

If you're talking about the user pic, I don't think you can completely do away with it. If you don't want an actual picture, you could always save a blank or colored pic in paint and use that.

Microsoft support solved the problem. Group Policy Editor/Admin Templates/Control Panel/User Accounts and enable apply default account picture to all users.
