Windows Start-Up Apps Behavior

Windows 11 Pro (64 bit)
I have disabled the Phone Link app from starting up automatically (Task Manager > Startup apps > Phone Link is disabled) as seen below:

However, every time I sign in to Windows, I see that this app starts up and runs in the background (as seen in the Processes tab in Task Manager):

How is this possible? Unless, I am missing something, shouldn't it start automatically unless I manually start it?

It's running at background most Windows 11 apps run background, use the batch script to disable this process for all apps run at background.

I just uninstalled it as I found getting texts and calls on phone and PC was just annoying.

Upon checking Windows Settings, I found that this is actually a 'System component' running in the background. This can be found at:

Settings > System > System component > Phone Link > Advanced options > Background component permissions

This setting is currently set to Power optimised (recommended)

I selected Never and I believe that should fix the issue at least for this component.

I doubt the Phone Link app can be uninstalled. I don't see this as an option to uninstall in the list of installed apps.

Thanks for this script. However, will it also disable the apps/programs that I want to keep running (AV, drivers, etc.)?

No only disables Windows 11 default apps.
