For the life of me, I can't install Windows 10. It just won't install. I've reset the BIOS back to factory too. Right now, it's running Linux Mint, but I hate Linux and want to reinstall Windows 10, or 11 if it'll hold it. I put an SSD in there. Do these laptops not like SSDs?

Those could be shipped with SSDs, so it's not that they don't like them. It would probably help if you would tell us what the issue or error message is, rather than "it just won't install."

It'll boot from the USB, it'll get to the Windows Logo, freezes and restarts.

That sounds to me like defective software on the USB.

I've tried different versions from the MS Creative Tool. . It does the same thing

Dell BIOS updaters used to have a /forceit switch for when the battery was low or AC wasn't available. Not sure if it's still valid. So you would do something like whatever_exe_name.exe /forceit.

Tried it again, and it worked! BIOS Successfully updated after forcing it, now installing Windows 11
