Always interesting to see people who see free as an entrapment, like with drug dealers and such. The number of people on free internet support forums who think software developers should work for free is mind-blowing.
Well, Linus Torvalds created Linux and gave it away, but look how well he's doing now. 🤣

Well, by any reports, he's at least a multi-millionaire, so I'd say he's doing OK. ;) Some reports put his wealth up past $100M, hard to say where the truth lies. BTW, I don't begrudge him any of it, he clearly produced something that has changed the landscape and deserves to reap some rewards!

I am not surprised. This is what AI can do. Search for bugs, Make more efficient code etc. but also this and worse: Hack things. Just imagine if this were to fall into the wrong hands? Nobody would be save anymore. Pros and Cons of this technology. Even the builders of those AI models were surprised that they were caught of guard what these models can and will do if their mission statement is not described to work inside a steel box with any edges..... flawlessly. Setting hard boundaries. No... Just talk among your self and figure out things... This is what is gonna happen. It happend before! When Meta made 2 models to talk to each other to improve themself... After a while they were talking in some kind of secret language that became more complexer as time went on. Complete alien to humans. They could not figure out what they were talking about. Solution? They pulled the plug.....

Well I must say; Adobe products are very high quality work I must say. But their methods for calling "home" and all those safeguards against illegal use is enormous! Every few days an update to toughen their software harder and harder. And Adobe has one huge big dark side; Once installed and de-installed? It is leaving thousands of orphaned registry entry's behind. They are the worst company for not cleaning things up once installed.
