I’ve never known a BIOS to do this, but perhaps these profiles only show up when you have Digital Power available in your PSU

2. Allegedly, this guy in the video is using an InWin power Supply

Mike, you are right. Don’t stress any more about it. You can go back to it as the BIOS isn’t going anywhere.
if it’s available now (or with a BIOS Update) it will be available later.

As for changing BIOS settings, I barely do, if at all touch the BIOS. I set to defaults and happy days. The very minimal these days is turning on intergrated graphis so I can attach monitor 5 & 6.

I used to Overclock my little heart out once. not at all these days, Motherboards and hardware just know each other these days.

How are you, Mike?

My son is heading to Tassie early March and is trying to coax me into going. I don’t know if he has a need or wanting to go to jail but if he takes me, it’s likely to happen. It’s just how I roll.
I have only been on your good Island once about 35 years ago for a month to meet my birth father in Ulverstone for the first time, he was a tosser.
I haven’t been back since. But what I remember about the other 30 days of that month, is that the unmarked areas of Tassie are just beautiful. Went on lots of walks and rides. In fact, Tassie in general was a beautiful place. I loved the speed of everything, nice and relaxed. Well it was 35 years ago.

"Digital Power" is MSI's term for a CPU power profile. Not something I fiddle with, usually.

I wonder whether the "Wraith Stealth Cooler" is adequate for the CPU? The 7600X seems to use a fair few Watts. If it runs hotter than you'd like, there are inexpensive third-party coolers, but I don't know what's available in the Southern hemisphere.

We can basically get our hands on anything from any country. But then enters difficult warranty issues. Also, there is the matter of paying twice as much for something, on the grounds of taxes I assume.

My son is heading to Tassie early March and is trying to coax me into going. I don’t know if he has a need or wanting to go to jail but if he takes me, it’s likely to happen. It’s just how I roll.
I have only been on your good Island once about 35 years ago for a month to meet my birth father in Ulverstone for the first time, he was a tosser.
I haven’t been back since. But what I remember about the other 30 days of that month, is that the unmarked areas of Tassie are just beautiful. Went on lots of walks and rides. In fact, Tassie in general was a beautiful place. I loved the speed of everything, nice and relaxed. Well it was 35 years ago.

Do you mean the SSD you’re installing Windows on before the install, Mike?

Windows install process should wipe the drive clean before installation.

Yeah, that's the one. I thought it would wipe the drive clean. But when I did a clean install of Windows on the SSD before, Windows retained the name and password of my wifi. That made me think that Windows did keep some information from one installation to the next. Hence my thought about reformatting the drive.

I believe that’s possibly a Microsoft Account sneaky issue. Not your SSD. I’ll see what I can find out. I remember there was a long debate on this forum from someone who had concerns.
