When I put my mouse over the search icon in the taskbar I get suggestion, often ones that really have no relevance at all, this is what I'm talking about. I understand the lack of relevance may be down to my settings, but i would like to be able to get rid of them alltogether.

Does anyone know how to disable the suggestions, I had an older solution that does not work anymore, can anyone help ?

I found out how if anyone has the same problem (Thanks to a Brink tutorial) that I found using a Google search.

Settings > Personalisation > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviours

Untick > show recent searches when I hover over the search icon

This Show recent searches when I hover over the search icon setting no long works since 22621.1250, and has been removed since at least build 22623.1325. The Search button on the taskbar allows you to quickly use Windows Search (Win+S) to search for apps, documents, email, files, folders...

Now if we can just get searching from the Start Menu to point to Google and not Bing. I used to have Edge Deflector but it is no longer functioning. I also have ChrontanaPro but that doesn't change the search provider map for the Start Menu. If I use that the result cone up using Bing/Edge.
