Disable Windows 11 Backup Nags

Is there any way to totally disable Windows 11 backup nagging? I'm never going to use Windows Backup, so I'd like to totally shut it up!

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Security and Maintenance\Change Security and Maintenance settings

and uncheck what you dont want to be bothered about

Hmm... I didn't find that anywhere when I did an Internet search, even Microsoft didn't offer that up when asked! Thanks, I'll see if that shuts it up.

Trying to find a windows11 machine for home use. Saw a system on feebay but the company wont answer my question about win11 compatibility and if it uses a TPM2. The company can install windows11. It appears that the processor is on the win11 compatibility list? Can someone please tell me if the following system specs will support preinstalled windows11 and allow proper updates?

The Intel Core i5-8500 is not "officially" supported by Windows 11, but it does have TPM2, SSE4.2 and POPCNT, so I suspect it could run. My concern would be the BIOS and the ability to configure Secure Boot, etc. Maybe if they tell you exactly what model it is, you can get more information.

The simplest answer is do it once then it stops nagging you. If you select to do it but uncheck the user folders, it is very quick.

It is not an imsge bsckup system.

Then if you do a clean install later, you can choose to use or not use the backup,

If you choose to use it, all that initial stuff like setting backgrounds, credentials, taskbar position etc. is done automatically.

It is actually more useful than people give it credit for but knocking it without trying/understanding it is just pointless really.

I've tried that in the past. It doesn't work for me.
To this day, I still have Windows Backup unchecked, but I still get the nags.

I’ve yet to see a backup message since. You can also just wait until it pops up and before closing it go to Settings > Notifications and turn off all for that type of message (not exact phrasing)

Ok does it have limitations ?

Is it a persistent setting i.e. is it remembered after a full build upgrade (not an enablement mini upgrade)?

(I guess that is not a big deal as not that frequent and with a saved batch file, easy enough to rerun if regedit is reset)

Does it work for all versions of Windows (often Home does not)?

For OneDrive-based Backup or the local Backup? The OneDrive notification has the cloud graphic.

Not sure how your question has anything to do with the thread.

TPM2.0 can be bypassed, A CPU without SSE4.2 cannot.

I already have multiple automated backups, there's no need for this one. I don't need to try it, I don't need it!

It takes a few secs every 30 days or so, in the meantime, you have wasted hours trying to avoid it.

It's real simple, I don't have OneDrive, I don't want OneDrive, and I don't need this either. If you like it so much, you use it. I fail to see what your post was supposed to accomplish.
