Disk Cleanup not doing its work

Dism Host Servicing Process (DismHost.exe), a Malware?
Don't discount this quickly. It is an option for you that is not presented in this thread. It's just a theory. But it may be real. Look into it.

The thing is I'd need to execute it that way every time I want to clean the disk because there are files that can not be deleted the regular way. It is a workaround while I'm curious how to fix the issue itself.

I noticed something peculiar, the aforementioned undeletable folders are created when I clean the temp files via Settings but not when I use Disk Cleanup. Not sure why.

Is anyone else noticing these folders popping up in the temp folder when cleaning temp files the disk via Settings -> System -> Storage?

The date and time stamp these folders are created on is exactly the moment I you've cleaned the temp files via Settings.

Odd isnt it that you clean the temp folder only to have Windows create folders inside the temp folder after..lol. I get those as well however they are always empty folders, so Im not understanding the point of them either.

Ever since using the Disk Cleanup app itself, these folders are empty indeed and get deleted automatically. But the moment I clean the temp files through the native Windows 11 Settings, these folders are created, can not be deleted, and contain DismHost.exe among other files.
