Except it's needed to check/update the firmware on Samsung SSDs. And that is IMPORTANT.

I have 0GB on my SSDs and haven't had any problems with performance. If I was going to max out the drive's storage capacity I would probably make unallotted space for over provisioning. like I said it's up to the users to decide and why I didn't recommend allotting the space so they could use it.

By default Trim is enabled.

To check whether TRIM is enabled, on an elevated command prompt-(Run as administrator) - enter the following command and press Enter key
fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify
If the output is DisableDeleteNotify = 1, TRIM is currently disabled on the SSD/s.
If the output is DisableDeleteNotify = 0, the TRIM is enabled on your SSD/s.
To enable TRIM, on an elevated command prompt enter the following command and press Enter key
fsutil behavior set DisableDeleteNotify 0
To disable TRIM, on an elevated command prompt enter the following command and press Enter key
fsutil behavior set DisableDeleteNotify 1
