Hi,

I've started getting this message. My setup is:

HP Spectre x13 Laptop (Thunderbolt 4 certified) connected to Anker dock (Thunderbolt 4 certified) via a Cable Matters Thunderbolt cable (Thunderbolt 4 certified)
USB-C to HDMI cable from Anker Dock to external monitor (8K cable)

I say "started getting", because the Anker dock is new. When I'm at the office my dock is a standard USB-C one (Power 2Go) and never have this problem. However, my monitors at the office are 2K and the one at home is 4K. Don't know if that's part of it, but everything I have, even including certified cables, suggests I shouldn't have any problems at all.

Well it's not even a problem because everything does work. So it's more an annoyance.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Following are the most common reasons associated with the error message you are seeing;

The connected device has a new USB-C feature that your computer or cable doesn't support.
The USB-C cable is faulty.
The external dock or hub is incompatible.
The hardware or software has problems.

No absolutes in the list, just possible solutions.

Another potentially important difference: the office dock has an actual HDMI port output. The one at is all USB-C outputs, hence the USB-C to HDMI adapter (also Cable Matters certified)

Done some testing. Bypassed the dock using all other existing things like cables and it works just fine. Have raised with Anker.

So Anker sent a replacement dock + TB4 cable = same problem. Anyone have any other ideas?
