Solved Dragging A Web URL To The Desktop To Create A Shortcut

Thanks for the suggestion. I will check it out.

Kind regards
Chris

Hey... for the record, when I tried it today, it didn't work properly. The Desktop icon that I created on the Taskbar is fine. But when I drag a URL there, it gives me the "globe", but it doesn't show the desktop.

I tried it a couple times and things got funky. First firefox would not come back up. I could get the windo to flash ip but not stay up. Could not start a new FFox. Had to restart Explorer. Tried it again after that and it was the same. Restarted explorer and my icons were the "black box thing". Restart again, worse. Restarted the computer, Icons still messed up. Tried a few things and then restarted explorer again to get my icons back to normal.

Bottom line, I don't think it's reliable for the drag-n-drop shortcut thing. Works fine to get to the desktop, but not for the original plan here.
