I am pretty sure I have seen this problem mentioned somewhere else, but can't find the post.
Anyway, the Steam icon in WIN 11 ( 22621) is lower than other icons in the Taskbar. Anyone know anything about this?

I notice in both images that the offending icon appears to be surrounded by other icons indicating open programs ... is this only when it happens?

Unpin it from the taskbar, restart, and repin it to see if it makes a difference.

You can also try unpinning, rebuilding your icon cache, and then re-pinning the icon.
