I got a nice new Logitech mouse that is supposedly compatible with Windows' dynamic lighting. Plugged it in and the default flashing rainbow became quickly intolerable. So I go to Personalization, enable dynamic lighting for the device (Windows recognized it) and configured the lighting I wanted. Just a nice steady low-intensity heart calming blue.
Everything was great, I even re-started to make sure it was good and it was. It was the same flashing bright rainbow hues until I log in and set my profile, I guess, and that I could live with. But maybe 10 minutes in it decides to flake out... at first reverting to the flashing rainbow. So I try to restart the Dynamic Lighting settings and reboot, now it just turns off goes black after 10-15 minutes. I won't come back on until another re-boot AND toggling dynamic lighting off/on, and again another 10-15 minutes.
What's wrong with this thing? Is it because I put this mouse into an existing Windows that had two or three mouse, a joystick and a gaming controller -- in other words several other different HID devices -- and Dynamic Lighting is getting confused? Is there anything I can do to unconfuse it? BTW, it works perfectly on my other system which is a recent fresh install on much older hardware. I don't want to fresh install this one, too much hassle. I want to fix it if I can.
Thanks for help.
