Solved Edifier queries/config?

Got the remote opened, probably the cell has died......Remote isn't responding.

Should I try connecting via BT, if yes how?

Am at a loss why W11 wont detect it...

@Edwin , how to turn On speakers BT?
Maybe you are on 11 Pro that could be the reason for it being detected?

Perhaps, contact the supplier, ask them to send a new one, or 2!

Sure. Seeing as your remote isn't functioning, try pressing the speaker's volume knob in to see if the led turns from green to blue...,
if it does, you can pair them up in Settings/Bluetooth & devices/Devices/Add device.

Windows will probably recognize them when you connect via Bluetooth.

Sure. Seeing as your remote isn't functioning, try pressing the speaker's volume knob in to see if the led turns from green to blue...,
if it does, you can pair them up in Settings/Bluetooth & devices/Devices/Add device.

Windows will probably recognize them when you connect via Bluetooth.

I'll give it a try and keep you posted.

So you manually named the connection as Edifier Speakers. I'm relieved that they couldn't be identified through an analog connection.

No, sorry..., I was mistaken, Windows did not recognize them when I plugged into the headphone port! Sorry bout that!
With Bluetooth it should.

Correct.
Same on Windows 10..., It detects the DragonFly but I rename and iconize the rest myself...

If you connect the Edifier via analog, Windows won't identify it. All that you'll see is that there is a device plugged into the audio jack.

I've never used BlueTooth, but presumably the laptop will identify the Edifier if you connect that way.

Whether things would sound better either way, I don't know. It's possible that the Edifier digitizes its analog input. If so, the BT connection may avoid an extraneous analog to digital conversion plus digital to analog. (The difference is probably inaudible to normal people, i. e., people who don't buy Audioquest products.)

But, now that I'm using a DAC, I've got cables and sh stuff everywhere!!!

Anyway, at least the speakers sound great!
Hopefully Bluetooth will connect and be recognized!
Then you can re-name the speakers, if you want.
I even made you an icon!

The remote uses BT. (Radio frequency, not infrared.) There is no external sensor on the active speaker.

With BT one would still require the cables connecting the 2 speakers. Correct?
With DAC what cable are you referring too?

You mean on the passive on the RT and not on the active on Lt?
