Eject hardware not always issuing messages

Hi folks
On a Real machine the eject hardware message doesn't always send a confirmation -- the relevant hardware (in my case an external HDD) does get disconnected but doesn't throw up a message. I've had this defect before on some previous Insider builds with W10 as well so I can't determine whether its just my hardware or a more general problem.

Am now testing some Internet type services - W.A.M.P as an exercise (Windows. Apache MySQL - or now MariaDB. PHP) on the test laptop I'm using.

I don't think it's just your hardware. My regular non-Insiders Windows Install does this occasionally, too, and I can open Explorer to My PC and verify when it happens - the drive in explorer shows generic USB drive and not the actual USB that was connected anymore, but I did not receive a message at all.

It's completely random and sporadic here, so I'm not surprised that it is happening on a bare metal install of 11, too.

Quiet hours being enabled can prevent the notification from popping up.

Good point - but to me has happened outside of quiet hours as I don't really use quiet hours to begin with.

There’s also Focus Assist which may be the cause as it disables notifications during full screen mode & when playing games as well as during set times.

Nope. Not that either. Because I have Focus Assist on all the time. So, it should either never display or always display, not randomly pick one or the other. Even with the same #$%@#$ drive plugged in (so also not drive specific issues either).
