This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable the ability to "Remember my apps" and "Remember my preferences" in Windows Backup for all Microsoft accounts in Windows 11.
- Remember my apps
Windows will remember the apps you have installed and help you restore them from Microsoft Store on your new devices. This setting is not available for work or school accounts, and Windows does not remember your apps for work or school accounts. - Remember my preferences
You can back up preferences including accessibility passwords, language, and other Windows settings. If you turn on Other Windows settings, Windows also syncs some device settings (for things like printers and mouse options), File Explorer settings, and notification preferences.
Local accounts do not support Remember my apps and Remember my preferences.

You must be signed in as an administrator to enable or disable "Remember my apps" and "Remember my preferences" for all Microsoft accounts.
EXAMPLE: Enable or Disable "Remember my apps" and "Remember my preferences" for Microsoft accounts
Here's How:
1 Do step 2 (enable) or step 3 (disable) below for what you would like to do.
2 Enable Sync Apps and Preferences for Microsoft Accounts
This is the default setting.
A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

5 Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.
6 When prompted, click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.
7 You can now delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
