I have changed the cartridge recently and it is no longer printing anything blue. I have tried cleaning the print heads but it changes nothing just no blue, Has anyone any ideas as to why this is - i have done a little bit of research and a similar issue made it out to be a failure in the print head i am hoping it could be something else, so i thought i would ask you amazing lot.

You didn't forget to tear off the air inlet cover on the cyan cartridge by any chance?
If you did then another thing to try is to remove the cyan cartridge and wiggle a pin into the ink discharge nozzle in case it is an ink clot/blockage. Then replace the cartridge and try again. Just be careful to be gentle with the pin. Don't ram it in forcefully.
I had to do this once and it worked on my Epson catridge.

so i gave it a few more nozzle cleans
Glad that it worked but just be aware that multiple nozzle cleanings use up a lot of ink and that applies to all the ink cartridges, not just the one you are wanting to unblock. If nozzles are not clear after 2 cleans I would always try the pin method next.

It is a good idea to mark the thread as Solved.

Glad you got it sorted
Sounds like the cyan nozzle was partially clogged after the cartridge change. Good tip about checking the air inlet cover too easy thing to miss on Epson printers. Also worth noting that repeated nozzle cleans can drain the other colors surprisingly fast.
