Hi dear @Brink

I think we need a simple thread for "Windows 11 recommended runtimes provided by Microsoft" which helps new users to find and install the latest version of those runtimes, for example with Winget command, after a fresh install of Windows, in order to have an updated and stable system.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Yeah, my friend! All needed runtime libraries such as C++, WebView, ASP, and anything you think is necessary for all users, which can be installed through "Winget"; Not unofficial sources.

I haven't a clue about any of this either.
All I know is that there's 41 running on my machine, with the oldest being May 2024..., so there's probably some ancient programs keeping them updated! 🤷‍♂️

11 already has default runtimes and apps or games will install needed DX9 or .NET
Too many runtimes can increase the number of vulnerabilities, sometimes less is more.

I wonder, if you uninstall any given one, if the dependent program would automatically update it or, the program itself would fail to run.
It would be nice to be able to view the dependencies of each.

Yes, I regularly uninstall old ones. I used to install Visual C AIO, Codec Packs, etc, and then I realized, why?!
I do not have a single VC installed right now, only the inbuilt 2015 UWP, AMD Settings no longer needs it.
