Every time I insert an SD card, it says there's a problem with this drive

I use SD cards for my photography and drone. I have a Ugreen USB hub that has SD and microSD slots. Every time I slot in an SD card, whether it's a full size or micro, it says there's a problem and it prompts me to repair the drive.

I use a Sony A7iii which has dual SD card slots and I use them as redundancy, think similar to RAID 1 I guess. It prompts me "do you want to scan and fix" and I always choose continue without scanning, and then it opens the drive contents fine. I've never lost data. I know it's not a problem with the cards because it does them with every card, even these new reputable Sandisk cards. Is it a problem with the autoplay feature. I have autoplay set to immediately open the contents of the cards.

Any ideas? Should I just continue as normal and disregard this every time? Thanks!

I suggest you try a different card reader. If you have the data backed up you could try formatting with Rufus and just select unbootable in the options.
Rufus can even make some flash drives that went read only, due to a glitch, writeable again.

Try executing the chkdsk X: /f command from Command Prompt replace X: letter with SD card drive letter.

The problem may be the way the Sony is using them for redundancy. Try the "scan and fix" option to see if it resolves it. If not, can you configure the Sony to use only one card? If so, try it with one card after scanning and fixing it to see if the problem persists.

The main advice I was given years ago when the cards and digital cameras became available was to never format the card in a computer, always do it in the camera that will use it. Had a client once that couldn't figure out why his cards filled up too fast but he learned how to set the camera to not save as both .jpg and raw.
