This tutorial will show you how to expand or compress the Windows Spotlight "Learn about this picture" desktop icon menu for your account in Windows 11 and Windows 10.
When you choose to have Windows Spotlight as your desktop background or theme, it will add a Learn more about this picture icon on your desktop by default. The Learn about this picture icon can be dragged to any location you want on your desktop.
You can right click on the Learn about this picture desktop icon to select other pictures, minimize or maximize menu/bar, vote to like or dislike current picture, and learn more about the current picture.
When you right click on the Learn about this picture desktop icon, it will show the full expanded Windows Spotlight menu by default.
You can compress the Windows Spotlight menu to show as a bar by default instead when you right click on the Learn about this picture desktop icon.
Here's How:
1 Right click on the Learn about this picture icon on your desktop. (see screenshot below)
2 Click/tap on the Expand (default) or Compress buttons for what you want to show by default. (see screenshots below)
3 You can now Close (X) the Windows Spotlight experience menu/bar if you like.
That's it,
Shawn Brink
