external microphone setup

I just got a new logitech h390 microphone. I have two problems. One the microphone part stopped working. Two some people on my team have really quiet voices and turning up the volume on the microphone did not seem to work so I changed the output device back to my computer and the volume does not increase. The output also continued to be coming out of the microphone headset speakers.

Microphone not working

• Did you make sure you have the correct input selected ( in whichever app your using)?
• Some mics have hardware switches, it may be muted
• Make sure it is not software muted

Output stuck on headset

• Did you confirm in the application the correct output is selected?
• Unplug / plug back in and check output again

Output volume

• Obviously check OS volume level
• Check volume in application
• Some headsets also have a hardware volume control
