I have followed tinstructions in FB help

1. Log in
2. Click profile pic
3. Select Setting & Privacy
4. Click Your Facebook Information
5. Click Deactivation & Deletion
6. Choose Delete then click continue

Erm no, no 5 does not exist after clicking No 4

if I were 700 years younger I'd marry you :wink: Damn FB giving out incorrect instructions. So, finally got to where you told me, refused to accept passowrd or new one. Got in and ddelted it permanently. My home site, under my real name, FB wont let me access it. The reason is that opera put out a big update which totally screwed all my passwords, links, saves, log ins and shortcuts. Needless to say I am almost as loony now as Putin.

there are two options in the FB system. Permanent Delete and Temp Delete. I chose permanent. After a while and a reboot. I went into FB to create a new account. Lo and behold, I was taken directly into the sign in which FB was not allowing me. Delighted.

If you login within the grace period (30 days) during the Permanent Deletion stage of a FB account, it re-activates. Otherwise it’s gone forever never to be retrieved. In the back-end it can take up to 90 days to actually remove all information… like we are supposed to believe they remove our info.
