File Explorer - how to have files at top?

In My Documents, I used to be able to have all files listed, sorted by date, and then folders under them, sorted by date. After the update to 25H2, I haven't been able to get the folder that way again. Is it still possible? It was done I think by clicking date, then shift clicking name. I've tried that, the reverse, and using type instead of name (all combinations).

My documents are currently sorted that way with version 25 H2. If you click on the sort icon in the explorer taskbar with your documents showing only the Date Modified and Decending have a white dot indicating they are selected. No selections should be made in More and Group By sections.

Thank you! For some reason, clicking "more" and then "date modified" in the that sort menu fixed it, when clicking the date column header did not. In the past with whatever version of Win11 I had before 25H2 (and every version of Windows prior to 11), I could click two headers (while holding down shift for the second one) and it would do that, but that stopped working.

By default, folders are at the top if you sort by date ascending (^) and are at the bottom if you sort by date descending (˅).

You can force the folders to always be at the top, regardless of the date sort order, by Shift clicking the Name column.

I'm not aware of a way to force the folders to be at the bottom when sorting by date ascending.
