Firmware switch service missing in Computer Management

This means I'm unable to disable a seemingly randomly appearing "Configuring your mobile broadband device" message. (Although it increments from 0-100% I believe it's redundant.)

How do I install the above switch or disable the message in another way?

Do you have a Mobile Broadband adapter in your laptop? What is Mobile Broadband? Our Guide
If so, you can go to the Lenovo download drivers web site, and download the adapter driver.

Have downloaded drivers - will be a few days before I'll know if it's worked. (Also downloaded a critical driver that I wouldn't have known I'd needed if it wasn't for your reply so thanks!
