There is very little reason to change any of those unless you have a specific need to do so. I strongly recommend that you leave them be.

Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". It was a bad idea that was probably done to compete with the Mac's cleaner look. But file extensions are an integral part of how Windows works, so hiding them just causes trouble. And it's a potential security risk.

I only change the option to see file extensions.

When I am troubleshooting an issue, I will go in and toggle to show hidden files and folders, but as a general rule I leave it off for my day to day system usage.
