Hi Alexey,

Unfortunately for you, and millions of others, what CornishRattler stated above is spot on. Your email address, is a hot commodity, more so now than ever, with all the scams on the rise.

Certainly not all sites (such as this one), you sign into will sale or trade your information. but very many do. And beyond that, everything is subject to being hacked for information. Even one of your trusted contacts.

As for writing rules, and setting filters, most of it is nothing more than fluff. Simply put, useless. However, Gmail is know to be one of the better ones.

One thing you should not do, is click on a link within the email, and ask to be removed. That serves only to validate that the address is in current use. And can/may, also open you up to malware, as well.

Best advice I could share with you, is delete anything you are not expecting from a very trusted source. I mean, don't even open the darn thing, delete it. Even doing this is not 100% foolproof, as spammers now spoof email, to appear as coming from someone you trust (or in you contacts list).

In closing, safeguard your address, delete absolutely anything remotely suspicious. And most importantly, in your current situation, be prepared for a long haul. Seriously, this is not something that you will be able to rid yourself of in short order.

Sorry for the rambling reply. I hope perhaps you find something worthwhile from it.

Take care, and good luck.

Yes, maybe so.

Then don't share it with anyone that you do not absolutely trust.
