Gnucash Version 5.9 Build ID 5.9+(2024-09-28) - Accounts Package
Windows 11Version 24H2 (OS Build 26.100.216 1)

I have been using Gnucash for a long time with no real issues. I can create an invoice but when trying to print an invoice as a report I found that it was blank. All reports are blank. The reports open in another tab within the app and it is this tab that is blank. The report takes the info from the app and lays it out in a format.

I have recently upgraded from Windows 10 to 11. Not sure at what stage the issue started. My research has found no answer to this issue.

I have tried the reinstall, no luck. I am not finding much information about this, although going back to XP this would happen. Then the talk was about graphics cards and sytem fonts.

The search continues, thanks for the suggestion.

Did you try asking on the Gnucash mailing lists or see if other Gnucash users are having the same issue under Windows? I know people using Gnucash under Linux had the blank reports problem which was fixed manually by the users.

I submitted it to mailing list some days ago with no response so far. considering whether it is someting to do with Internet Explorer or lack of it..

I have now submitted the Gnucash.trace file to mailing list this has error messages.

When I go to the Temp directory, I find the invoice in an HTML file which I can print to PDF. So the file is not going into the app.

For info there are 4 error reports, that is because I tried to print it twice.

Does the file go to temp if you right click on application's executible Or shortcut and select "run as administrator"?

Yes.

I have managed to get Internet Explorer on the system but I have not worked out how I can get it as the default browser. I know this was an issue going back years with XP and Win 7.

Thanks for the thought. Have now done extensive searches and I can not find any other reports. The mailing list is not coming up with an answer.

A thought-is the default location of your user folders Onedrive, rather than your C: drive? Right click on documents folder. Select properties. Location tab. If documents default to Onedrive, your pictures, desktop, and videos probably do as well. Some apps have requirements as to the location its files will go to.
