Hard freeze when idle, three nights in a row

Actually I removed the two f4-3200c16d-8gvgb this morning, but I may do some more testing tomorrow...

In the meantime you can see the results of MemTest86. It detects all four sticks of RAM, but shows the same odd timings and speeds as the screenshots from BIOS and AI Suite.

Running happily on 16GB RAM, no freeze for 8 nights

GSkill said ram SPD is corrupt. I've RMA'ed them.

Sadly the freeze happened two more times since removing the bad RAM sticks. The first time, about two weeks ago, I suspected that it had something to do with a DLNA client machine STOPPING playback of a ts file (tv recording) while this DLNA server machine was doing multiple tuner recording duty. Last night seems to provide evidence to support that possibility:

7:00pm Server started recording a tuner ch804
7:00pm Server stopped recording a tuner ch754
7:30pm Client started live TV ch717
8:00pm Client stopped live TV ch717
8:00pm Client started playback various ts files (tv recordings)
8:00pm Server stopped recording one tuner ch804
8:00pm Server started recording two tuners ch3.1+710
9:00pm Server stopped recording one tuner ch3.1+710
9:00pm Server started recording four tuners ch710+734+750+757
9:18pm Client stopped ts file (tv recording) playback => the client screen went black with a spinning cursor in the middle of the screen and would not respond.
9:18pm Server machine FROZE, the four 9pm recordings only resulted in 18 minutes worth of video and the tuners remain stuck "in-use" and no more recordings happened.

Note that I perform some form of the above routine every night without issue (99% of the time), so I remain stumped.

Does it seem possible that an action/command from a DLNA client machine could cause this DLNA server machine to hard freeze? Or does it truly come down to a hardware issue in this DLNA server machine?

In effort to stop freeze I replaced:
-system power supply unit
-RAM
-GPU

Ran for about a week, but just woke up to another frozen machine situation. If anyone is still looking, here is the new V2 log:

3) Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

chkdsk /b /v

Run these chkdsk switches on all drives using the syntax: chkdsk /b /v C: or chkdsk /b /v D: or chkdsk /b /v E: etc.

Make sure that the windows drive runs overnight while sleeping.

The type of the file system is NTFS.

NOTE: Disks 6/7/8 are in an external USB 3.0 four bay enclosure. The fan has been getting extremely noisy, so I put a new fan in it yesterday. This is the first time I've seen these type of errors in the V2. I did recently use a tutorial here that changes USB drives from "removable" to "performance". Now I'm thinking it might be safer to switch them back to "removable" if it's going to cause Windows to freeze!

I finally reached my wits end on this so yesterday I broke down and did a CLEAN install of Windows 11. It took me a good 8 hours to get Windows back to the way I like it, install device drivers, add SiliconDust software, comskip, Dirmon2, HWInfo, Rainmeter, Hard Disk Sentinel, backup software, and JRiver MC dvr software.

I also noticed that my internal SATA disks were running quite warm, in the low 50°C - 52°C. So, this morning I took a few hours to mod my old Silverstone HTPC case, adding two 92mm fans that blow directly onto those disks. Now my temps are 35°C - 37°C. Very happy with that!

Lastly, I took a nice clean snapshot of the OS disk with my backup software. I really hope this is the end of this saga!
