I'm not sure if this is a glitch with Windows 11 or my new laptop. I was browsing normally when the screen went glitchy. The text was harder to read and looked like it was flickering or moving a little? Also the screen would briefly go black and on again. I restarted and it looks like it's back to normal for now. This just happened today. I've filled out the specs sheet the best I can on here. If it helps, it originally came with Windows 10 in S mode. I double checked with the program Microsoft has to check if it was compatible and it was all green. I upgraded it to Windows 11 the same day. Going on day 3 and this is the first issue I'm having so far.

Hm, I don't see any update for today. The graphics driver is up to date and there is no option to update it so far.

Mine did this when I updated the graphics driver from AMD but forgot to turn off the WU driver update in group edit so it downgraded in the background

Can you disable that proprietary software for now as it seems to be creating issues and not working? Don't know enough about Dell configurations so hopefully someone with a Dell can chime in.

I noticed one of Brink's posts that Intel had released some new graphic's drivers for later cpus a few days ago. You might go here and run the intel check to see if it applies to you. Also on a side note, are you going to keep the laptop in S mode? In case you don't know, S mode puts restrictions on what applications you can run on your computer. You can convert it into regular Windows by switching out of S mode. If interested, go here.

Yeah currently too afraid to uninstall it but I can try and see if I can find and disable it for now if I can figure out how to. Wow how annoying SupportAssist just added a shortcut to my desktop and then disappeared not 30 seconds later....

No worries, when I had 10 installed I immediately got rid of S mode. Where is the check located? I only see support articles. I found my graphics Driver version is 27.20.100.9365 in the Intel graphics command center.

PS: I have a 4 month old Dell that had all those pesky Dell programs installed and running in the background. I went into services and changed all the Dell apps from automatic to manual start. I just run the Dell Command Update manually once a month.

The check is "Let us identify and update drivers" on that Intel page.

Huh....I updated the driver then went to display adapters>Iris Xe and it still lists the same driver version before the install? It did say when I first clicked on it that it successfully updated? On the web browser with Intel driver and support assistant it lists a different version number, the new one: 30.0.101.1069. Went back to the Intel command center on the computer and it also lists the same driver as device manager does: 27.20.100.9365. So....not a clue. I restarted again and same old number again. It claims it successfully updated but shows no sign of it except in that web page. And when I rescanned and opened the webpage again it lists the exact same driver update....

EDIT: I went to Dell and found I had another bios update so I updated the bios and tried to update the driver again and nope it looks like it still didn't install after claiming it did again....

Edit: It now in command center lists the right version number...at least for now. I guess I shouldnt touch it in device manager. If I touch it there it looks like it likes to revert back to the 27. version.

Nope! The only other thing I know has happened before the weird display issue was, I left the computer alone for an hr and when I came back it went to sleep(?) so I had to wake it back up. I know there are weird issues with sleep mode and win11 but don't know if that's what caused it.
