I have been trying to measure a PC and also a laptop that I have been friggin' around with using over the holidays and I thought I would use UserBenchMark to see how they compared, however I always get a 'server full' message and the tests wont run :(

Is anyone else seeing this behaviour, do you now need to pay for a 'Pro' account or am I special in getting this message?

Hopefully someone knows what it means.

I had to "allow" UserBenchmark.exe access to the internet, via my Bitdefender firewall.
Otherwise, I would get "cannot connect".

I used the free, portable version.

I downloaded from here...

At the bottom of the page I clicked on: "Download free portable zip"

I don't want a Pro account, and the Captcha Queue takes me to a game screen saying I need to eliminate 14 ships - I don't play games and that could take me hours once I have worked out how to do whatever it wants, and even then I don't know if the program will run :(

I just downloaded the portable version on UserBenchmark, and ran that. (allowing thru firewall).
I had to shoot down 4 ships for the captcha.

They are tiny RED ships. Keep aiming at the center of screen, and shoot them when they turn towards you.
When they turn towards you, they'll start increasing in size as they get closer. Easy to shoot, then. :-)
Move mouse to aim, and left click to shoot.

Then it ran fine.

If you have UserBenchmark installed... uninstall it, and use the portable (no install), version.
Unless you have seriously slow internet connection... you should be able to connect, easily.

I'm assuming you're in the US as I am. That might make a difference? Some "regional" thing?

I have become used to the Userbenchmark scores, not so much as an absolute measure but as a relative measure.

I will try some of the others to see how the compare, especially is USerbenchmark are going to maintain this silly way of accessing the product.

The WEI score is a generic indicator of computer worthiness.
The overall score (WinSPRLevel), will be the score of the slowest part.


CPUScore = processor performance in calculations per second
D3DScore = 3D graphics performance
DiskScore = Data transfer rate of the primary hard disk
Graphicsscore = Graphics desktop performance for Windows (Aero)
MemoryScore = working memory (RAM) – memory operations per second
WinSPRLevel = overall rating (corresponds to the lowest partial rating)

I have not seen this for a very long time and I just had to try it again.

I already had an older version, 3.0.4.0 installed and I ran that without any issues, it auto updated to the latest version.

I also downloaded the portable version 4.0.2 and ran that without any issues.

I have no idea why you are seeing what you are seeing. Try the portable version if you haven't already.

Yeah performance test 8-9 guess there is a 10 also are fairly long but will test the entire system

On win-11 you will need to disable core isolation and or memory isolation to run it.

That is what I was 'updated' to the other day, since then I have had the issues, and as far as I can see there is only a portable version.

I must have upset them at some time, or perhaps they don't like UK IP Addresses :)

The only thing I can think of would be to try changing your DNS server to Google or OpenDNS, etc...

It could not hurt.

Id like to add the you cant use UserBenchMark anymore for free. I've been trying everyday almost a week thinking something will change but it makes you either sign in to a pro account or cancel and exit to desktop. Sucks cause I loved doing the scan to see where all my components sit at in the list of all hardware. ANd also the WEI thing is windows sucks cause it barely gives you any information and mine just shows 9.4 as a score for years now.

Yes i know that, i have been using it. Probably like 5 times in the last year. But now it doesn't give me any captcha button, it only has sign In (Pro) and Cancel now, Ive tried every button i can find anywhere to get it working. You have to pay for it, i even went back on the site and downloaded the FREE DOWNLOAD link again after removing every trace of userbenchmark from my machine.

You are right, but when I remove the folder and then reinstall, captcha is back.
