I followed your directions and the restored SSD is perfect. No unallocated space and the C partition is the maximum size that it can be.

There's no way that I could have figured it out without your detailed directions. So thanks so, so much for taking the time to create the directions.

(Hasleo Backup really needs to do it automatically without the user having to do it. Then if the user wants unallocated space at the end of the drive, the user can set it up manually.)

BTW, I registered at the hasleo forum website, but when I try to open a new thread, there is no "New Thread" button at the top. My user name is displayed at the top so I know that I'm signed in. What I see at the top in the menu bar is:

"User CP . . . . . . . . . View New Posts . . . . . . . View Today's Posts . . . . . . . . . Private Messages (Unread 0, Total 0)"

Googling, it says to open a new thread in the hasleo forum, click the "New Thread" button at the top. Catch 22.

Anyone have any ideas why there isn't a "New Thread" button at the top? Has this happened to you?

I'm using Hasleo Backup Suite Free 5.0 Release 2. Many built-in features. Imaging with none,low, medium or high compression. Create emergency USB boot disk with option to add a WinPE/Win11 boot menu. Mount/unmount images. Verify images. Wipe drives. Repair VSS. Rebuild MBR. Repair WMI. View logs. Incremental/differential backups of either the System or an entire drive/partition or file/folder - all with or without scheduling, merging images, size splitting, editing retention policy, System/Disk/Partition cloning .

Did a first time trial run of HSB. Some observations:
1. Would like to be able to operate in full screen for the main program and the sub menu windows.
2. Credentials for a network attached Windows PC that is identified as "Joe User joe.user@outlook.com" requires username as Joe User, not joe.user@outlook.com by other programs and Windows Credentials.
3. More flexibility with the scheduler would allow specific months to be specified
4. Have not found a way to relocate a backup to another folder and get HSB to recognize the change.

All are minor nits and I could make it work, but not ready to jump here yet.

Got it, made rescue disk, copied files from rescue.iso to a small partition on my storage drive (so I don't need to fool with a flash drive), booted from that partition, made backups of Windows and Linux drives. Tested to see if I could easily connect to a networked second PC containing "fresh install" backup images and restore from there. All seems good!

Actually it is not a direct link as it can not be clicked on and is encased with code tags.
A direct link is a URL that takes you directly to a specific file or web page when clicked on.
You would have to copy/paste that link into the address bar for the link to work so not really a direct link.
