Just going by what I did on my ARM machine yesterday since I couldn't get 5.8.2 to install then. I removed 5.6.2 with Revo Uninstaller including the registry entries so it wiped all my settings including my weekly schedule. I then did a clean install from scratch. The backup files remained but my settings were gone.

I am exploring HBS as the other free backup fav is seems to be getting near to eol on Win11. Some questions:
1. Is the encryption feature only available in the paid version (the comparison of products on the site does not show this feature)?
2. The target for a file backup has been selected as D:\OneDrive\Backup. The process starts, some folders are written and then the process hangs. That folder is on a local drive and the OneDrive feature will look after getting the data to the cloud. Is this hang due to lack of support for cloud drivers?

Lots more questions to follow.

Greetings all! While listening to documentation needs both here and at the Hasleo Forum, and balancing that with some of my own needs, I have decided to create an all encompassing, PDF-based Feature Compendium for the Hasleo Backup Suite. I'm in discussions with Hasleo on how best to offer an on-going, updated version of this document to the user community... that's the difficult part as the on-line documentation changes quite often. We'll keep working on this project and try and bring it to some sort of conclusion.

In the meantime, the "point-in-time" version of this document (as of today) is called Hasleo Backup Suite - Tutorials located on my GOOGLE Drive. Feel free to use the title's active link to download this current version until we figure out how to go public with a fully supported version.

Remember, this is only a "point-in-time" version of this documentation so at the moment it shouldn't be in any sort of repository. Hope this helps!

Thank you, I will look it over as I have just recently switched over to using this program. I did one backup and made a rescue media already. All went well as far as I can tell.

As an HBS owner I can state that what you suggest, a detailed User Manual, is very much needed. Something as detailed along the lines of the Macrium Reflect documentation guides. Not to knock the HBS's current guides, as I can imagine it takes a lot of work and effort and time to get to the point Reflect is currently. So I applaud your effort and wish you success.

Hasleo backup suite works ok in my fancy pe. The hasleo program itself is on the usb stick. Easier to update to new versions

( For my simple pe the programs are included in the wim)

26H1 PE with winxshell + classic shell

Plug usb stick into running windows then running the get-hasleo-backup.cmd copies the files and reg from the installed os onto the usb stick.

After booting pe the programs are automatically linked from the usb stick to the pe desktop or start menu

get-palemoon.cmd downloads the portable version to the usb stick

There is get-macrium-files.cmd which copies the files and reg from the running os onto the usb stick.
But I expect psmounterex wont work with 26H1

The Macrium Reflect recovery Disk USB media from version 8.0.7783 is still working on the 3 laptops I own, laptops that have been updated with the new CA 2023 certs. It is only the ASUS desktop that after trying multiple remedies to no avail that I will have to resort to the workaround by disabling Secure Boot, removing all the Certs, and then using the Reflect USB Media. Then after a restore I'd enable Secure Boot and reapply Garlin's Update powershell scripts (thank you Garlin!!)
And the Hasleo media is also working the same, so yay for that!

Not much changed. only some refinements and bugs fixes. I think it might have speeded up a bit

@Terence That version is quite old as HBS is now up to V5.8.2.1. There are no regression of features since your version, so newer is better. When you upgrade you should build a new Emergency Disk and update your Boot Menu.
