Hasleo Backup Suite

On the Mount screen, check the selection at the bottom left against "Mount as writable". Viola, access to everything.

You are usually a fountain of good knowledge and advice, but this statement above is just wrong. I have contacted support directly a few times and their response is amazing. The forum is also a good resource and provides the recording and history of issues.

Hello, everyone. As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been using HBS (Perpetual License) for quite some time now. I’m very satisfied with both HBS and its support (fast, helpful, and technically competent), as well as their Hasleo Software Forums. MRH, on the other hand, has been a huge disappointment. I have nothing more to say about this program (MRH).

This hasn't worked for me. I've mounted with 'mount as writeable' ticked and I can't get access to C:\Users\MyOLDUsername

Any other ideas ?

Permissions issue.

Take ownership of the folder(s) and add yourself with full permission.

Or try running 7-zip as administrator may also give you access.

You do not get a tracking number that you can refer to when tracking support.

I just tested this and if you revoke the 2011 cert you no longer get a SVN mismatch error.

I think it is now using the file from C:\Windows\Boot\EFI_EX\bootmgfw_EX.efi to create the backup media.

One of the things to know, is Windows can randomly drop a new version of the boot file in future Monthly Updates. It won't be announced ahead of time or provided in a Preview update, because MS never "pre-announces" any security fixes.

If you get a SVN error, just recreate the USB drive again. Hasleo already knows where to find the right file as it's pushed out in the Monthly Updates. It's a little annoying, but that's the price of boot security.

I've been using Macrium for years but have now decided to try HBS.
I'm about to make my first backup, I want to backup everything but I noticed it has automatically ticked five partitions but not a sixth:
*: Image (NTFS) 0.18 GB free of 16.75 GB.
I'm just wondering why this is not ticked and should I tick it?

System backup just backs up the partitions windows needs and it says so at the bottom.

Try the Disk/Partition Backup and tick the disk box which will backup all partitions on the disk.

Use the System backup for a full backup. Use the partition backup for non OS drives (Generally)

I want to add a Hasleo boot menu but I'm not sure about the drivers to be injected into WinPE.
Automatic driver injection is ticked.
What about 'Enable support for UEFI CA 2023? To enable this, I would have to tick 'Download WinPE components'.
The Secure Boot on my laptop currently has all required certificates.
