Hasleo Backup Suite

I've mounted a C drive backup and can access it via a drive letter.
However if I go to Users / MyUser on the mounted image I can't access this folder.
Is there any way to mount the image and have full access to it ?
On the Mount screen, check the selection at the bottom left against "Mount as writable". Viola, access to everything.

HBS is undeniably a good free tool and has an active and helpful forum but like all free tools, it does not have a formal support system. There is no active tracking/logging of issue - just a hope somebody on the forums helps solve the issue.
You are usually a fountain of good knowledge and advice, but this statement above is just wrong. I have contacted support directly a few times and their response is amazing. The forum is also a good resource and provides the recording and history of issues.

Hello, everyone. As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been using HBS (Perpetual License) for quite some time now. I’m very satisfied with both HBS and its support (fast, helpful, and technically competent), as well as their Hasleo Software Forums. MRH, on the other hand, has been a huge disappointment. I have nothing more to say about this program (MRH).

This hasn't worked for me. I've mounted with 'mount as writeable' ticked and I can't get access to C:\Users\MyOLDUsername

Any other ideas ?

Permissions issue.

Take ownership of the folder(s) and add yourself with full permission.

Or try running 7-zip as administrator may also give you access.

That is not true as the developers are active on the forum and respond to issues quickly.
Hasleo is now on par with Macrium and even has delta restore.

Also, Hasleo has a paid version of the suite and you can get a lifetime license.

Of course it is true. Actlve participation in a forum is not a formal tracking support for s customer.

You do not get a tracking number that you can refer to when tracking support.

You do not get a tracking number that you can refer to when tracking support.

You do if you contact support.

Macrium have a public forum and a contact portal.

Hasleo has a public forum and a contact portal.

Contact portal you get a support ID number.

I just tested this and if you revoke the 2011 cert you no longer get a SVN mismatch error.

I think it is now using the file from C:\Windows\Boot\EFI_EX\bootmgfw_EX.efi to create the backup media.

One of the things to know, is Windows can randomly drop a new version of the boot file in future Monthly Updates. It won't be announced ahead of time or provided in a Preview update, because MS never "pre-announces" any security fixes.

If you get a SVN error, just recreate the USB drive again. Hasleo already knows where to find the right file as it's pushed out in the Monthly Updates. It's a little annoying, but that's the price of boot security.
