I am using a bootable ISO image of the "TeraByte 3.64/4.05" program based on WinPE10(2004) / WinPE11(22000/22621).

I suggest you do some more testing. Perhaps with a fresh boot image or fresh install? And are you sure it's not your controller card or something obscure messing with your system? No 3rd party protection running?
Try backing up a virtual machine from TB v3 AND v4 again.

Have you tried with GFI Backup (excellent solution I have used for forensic recovery) or DriveImage XML tool?
I feel you need to get away from the mainstream tools. What was the outcome from Veeam? Have you tried StorageCraft?

I use NFR licences for these vendors and promote to clients. So just approach them and do the same - explain forensic recovery and data not being identical to what was backed up and see what they can offer, guarantee or even change? Perhaps adding a checkbox for your needs!

While they might fit most people's needs and limited understanding, I think you should prepare a set of questions and fire them off to each developer you come across with a solution that semi-fits your needs. You shouldn't have to hammer and attempt to jam something into your environment that does not fit or satisfy your needs.

I have several laptops and use a different backup software on each of them.
In terms of speed and smoothness (running smoothly like a knife cutting through butter), MR is the best with R-Drive Image very close behind.

I must include the new kid on the block, Hasleo Backup Suite. It is one hell of a backup app.

I find WinPE boot media loads quicker than WinRE.
I used to use WinRE, but these days WinPE is my preference.

By the way... TeraByte has some of the most powerful backup, partition and various other disc tools that I know of.
There are too many tools to mention in their backup suite.

Terabyte products are renowned for quality and reliability.

I use Image for Windows on my wife’s laptop as well. Really good and reliable backup software.

Heck, I am still using the Dos version on my non-active laptop (just using it two or three times yearly) running on a Windows 7 Pro platform. It replaced Norton Ghost which was my first backup software.

Did I just inadvertently reveal how old I am?

Norton Ghost was the first backup software I used too.
Remember Norton Ghost Walker? There's nothing new about being able to explore an image file....

still have hasleo but havent been backing up in a while..i somehow dont think its that important...

I can't help but reminisce about an incident that happened at a travel agency that my wife and I went to back in the eighties. All the computers at the agency were down for some reason. Then two technicians arrived at the scene to fix the problem.

Using external disks, they had the computers up and running in no time. When I peeped at the screen of one of the computers, I saw Norton Ghost in action. Evidently, they had their customers' backup images stored on their own external disks (a shrewd business tactic), so only they had access to them.

This was back in the days when not many people knew how to back up their OS.
