Hi! laptop freezes up after startup

for the 1st time, this laptop froze on startup. Keyboard didn't work, Could not shut (or restart) it.
Is there a fix for this? regards

If it happened only once, I wouldn't worry about it. Windows hiccups occasionally. If it becomes a regular event, then it's time to deal with it and troubleshooting will be a process of elimination to find the problem.
Then you would turn off fast startup, dig into system events, check file corruption, check for interfering software, etc.etc. etc.

Do you have an image you can restore from using a bootable USB device? Maybe using Macrium Reflect?

If not then I suggest you create one after you have got the laptop working.

@glasskuter check file corruption, check for interfering software,? SFC /scannow? and DISM comes up ok. But there was no way to shut it down, (it was pluuged in) all I could think of was removing the battery. {1 millievolt off & there it goes.) thanks for the reply
