Hide specific app icons from taskbar?

For instance, I want Calculator to run permanently in the background and I don't want it to clutter my taskbar. How can I do this for specific apps?

still looking for a suitable one. The closest I got was RBTray but it does not support certain apps which don't have the native windows (i.e. the 3 buttons on top right corner).
