Horrible Keyboard Input Language Switch Lag after Win 11 22H2 update

I'm glad we gave it our best shot, I just wish we had an answer, other than "It's Microsoft". lol.

UPD: still no solution, but now i think it might be related to this problem.

so i tried to follow the instructions and replaced the InputSwitch.dll with the patched one, but it still didn't kill that nasty input language popup window, probably because that patch was made for Win10.

So if anyone knows how to completely disable this popup window - that is very likely the solution to my problem.

do you get the input language popup window with those settings? because now i'm pretty certain that window causing the glitch and delaying the language switch, so the cure is to kill that window.

Yes. Docked in the taskbar.
Language Bar:
"Floating on Desktop" or "Docked in the taskbar" or "Hidden"

Just to update, this method of disabling the annoying input switch pop up window did not worked on Win11 22H2 and did not solved my problem with the language input switch delay (

Got rid of the freaking Language Input Switch PopUp Window;
As the result no lagging while switching languages.

After all i went through, i finally decided to try those automatic language switch helpers, even though i never wanted to use any of their features.

So i found this list:
and tested all of them.

most of that software will offer you smart switching with just Shift or Ctrl (single button), which is probably even better than my Ctrl+Shift, but since i don't want to use any additional software to fix Window's bullshit and planning to remove it once Microsoft finally reacts to hundreds of complaints all over internet, i decided i want to stick to Ctrl+Shift and the only software that gave me that option was Mahou:
i disabled all its features, disabled tray icon, set the hot key to Ctrl+Shift

Of course, you also have to disable the native Window's switch method, so Mahau would not interrupt Windows hotkeys:

I will definitely switch to Linux once i have a few weeks to learn it, because it only gets worst with Microsoft.

I am affected too. While Win+Space works instantly, ALT+SHIFT has a lag. I have to keep one of the two down, press the other and after 1-2 seconds release only one first to change the input language from English to Greek and vice versa. Not really convenient. I might adopt Win+Space. I wouldn't like to risk replacing any system .dll files, unless there is an official tutorial in this Forum. I wouldn't mind to download any tool or registry patch from the Tutorials section or a reputable source, but if any Windows Update can fix this, I will wait a little. When using ALT or SHIFT with other keys there is no lag. The bug appears only when I press them both to change the input language from English to Greek and vice versa. Microsoft please release a hotfix. Thanks.

Update to my previous solution:
i just found an even better software for this problem, it's called ReCaps

How well does ReCaps work, both in general as well as considering your particular issues?

i only use it to switch between language input without the lag caused by Windows popup window and for that it works great so far. and i've actually changed my initial Ctrl+Shift hotkey to single Shift

In Windows 10/11 Win+space works as well and is instantaneous, no delays.

I can't believe there obviously were outraged and technically advanced intelligent users reporting this in details two years ago and this absurd rubbish is still floating around in W11 22H2. I'm done accepting Microsoft introducing new broken crap since Windows 8 that you have to remedy by searching and installing third party software. This is by very very far not the only MS problem that has the same story.

Is it really considered normal to install third party solutions to FIX MICROSOFT BUGS???
